LECTURES

WEEK 1

For the first class of digital photography and Imaging, Mr. Fauzi explained what we going to learn in this course. Because we haven't got our Adobe access, so Mr. Fauzi let us create an E-portfolio and a Pinterest account first. And Mr. Fauzi have given us our first exercise which is list down the 3 favorite graphic design composition work from Pinterest and explain it on E-portfolio blog the reason I like the designs.

WEEK 2

Mr. Fauzi explained the basic compositions and show the demo of collage elements layering &composition to us. And we have got our exercise for week 2 which is pre-compositing your collage's design elements into a composition.

WEEK 3

For this week, Mr. Fauzi required us to do digital collage. Mr. Fauzi has provided some images for us to do this exercise. We are required to create 3 different composition digital collages from the images that we have downloaded. By this exercise, we are going to learn to use lasso tool, pen tool and layering.

WEEK 4

Today, we are going to choose the best composition from WEEK 3 digital collage exercise and using the same Photoshop file to improvise the WEEK 3 digital collage into WEEK 4 by using Adjustment Layers & Filters on Photoshop. Then, we have to explain what we have learn in the description section in Google Docs.

WEEK 5

This week, Mr. Fauzi have assigned an exercise for us, we have to follow the instructions and do the exercise. We have to create two version of HEARST MANSION, first version with Shazam, and the second version with myself. After done the exercise, we have to post the two version of HEARST MANSION on E-portfolio.

WEEK 7

This week, Mr. Fauzi have assigned an exercise for us, we have to follow the instructions and do the exercise. Mr. Fauzi have shown us a quick tutorial in class, but we could also refer to the video or slide that provided by Mr. Fauzi on Google Classroom. We have to create two version of DOUBLE EXPOSURE, first version with follow the tutorial, and the second version with my own. After done the exercise, we have to post the two version of DOUBLE EXPOSURE on E-portfolio.

The theme of this time is “Don’t Lose Your Youth”

This concept is to let the youth go out from home and enjoy participating in different outdoor activities.

The simple and clear design made me immediately know what this poster was trying to express. This Poster Expressed: 

This poster expresses that the University of Orchestra and strings are going to have an orchestra and string recitals.

The theme of this time is “Orchestra and strings”.

This concept is to let others know about this concert.

The black and white photos were embellished with some bright colors that attracted me.

This Poster Expressed: 

This poster expresses the Swedish perfume brand "AGONIST" was released before landing in Japan.

The theme of this time is “Every lie creates a parallel world”.

This concept is that every fragrance has different smells, so when a new fragrance is created, it just like a new lie creates a new parallel world.


Week 2: 
PROJECT 1A: COLLAGE DESIGN ELEMENTS
Choose and identify my collage's design elements to be cut out and compose it into my own concept & story and pre-compositing my collage's design elements into a composition. Take photos of the 3 compositions and upload.

PROJECT 1B: DIGITAL COLLAGE
Download the images that provided by Mr. Fauzi and follow the tutorial demo as reference to create my digital collage. We have to create 3 different composition digital collages from the image that downloaded.

Week 4:
PROJECT 1B: DIGITAL COLLAGE REVIEW
Choose my best composition from WEEK 3 digital collage exercise and improvise the WEEK 3 digital collage into WEEK 4 by using Adjustment Layers & Filters on Photoshop.

Week 5:
PROJECT 1B - PART 1: HEARST MANSION
We are going to have a quick tutorial to understand how to use Quick Selection Tool, Layer Mask, Filters, Color Correction. We are required to add Shazam and ourselves into the Hearst Mansion.

Week 6:
PROJECT 1B - PART 2: RECOLORING BREAKDOWN

Week 7:
PROJECT 2A - EXERCISE 1: PHOTO MANIPULATION
We have to follow the tutorial that given by Mr. Fauzi and done the double exposure exercise part 1 & part 2. We are required to do two version which is Part 1: Double Exposure Follow Tutorial and Part 2: My Own Double Exposure.
