REFLECTION

Experience:

In this semester, I studied advanced typography in depth. The tasks in this sem are basically about designing fonts and typography systems. In each task, I designed a font design of my own, which made me more interested in font design. In addition, in each task I also need to use the fonts I designed to do typography design, such as movie poster design, mockups, font presentation and application, etc. I also gained more inspiration from various typography experiences, and I really enjoyed this sem's course.

Observations:

I have observed that different typography systems produce very different effects, so when doing a typography design, I must carefully choose the layout method to achieve the most eye-catching effect. Not only that, color matching is also one of the important factors in layout. Therefore, a colour palette can help me determine the main color scheme of my design.

Findings:

These tasks have greatly improved my design skills and my skills in using Adobe, and I have also learned more about the impact of typography on design. This semester's courses have greatly improved my skills in typography and design.
